Supreme Court Ruling Will Not Impact Fulton County Schools

On April 4, 2025, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the Department of Education can pause funding to 104 grants under the Teacher Quality Partnership and Supporting Effective Educator Development grant programs while cases concerning this funding are active in lower courts.

Fulton County Schools (FCS) does not receive funding from these grants, so the decision will not impact FCS.

However, the ruling could impact several Georgia-based institutions. These institutions are Georgia Gwinnett College, Georgia State University, University of North Georgia, and Mercer University.
